The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to internet-connected devices that are able to connect with other devices and to be controlled remotely through a device or app. IoT devices have become commonplace in many homes and can serve as important tools for increased efficiency and for users to connect with friends and family. Unfortunately, IoT devices can also be misused to stalk, harass, and surveil.
